We are super pleased to make this internet official: Alicia Elliott is joining the Invisible ranks as a nonfiction editor!
Alicia Elliott is a Mohawk writer from Six Nations of the Grand River territory currently living in Brantford, ON. Her debut collection of essays A Mind Spread Out on the Ground was a bestseller in Canada, a finalist for the Hilary Weston Writers’ Trust Prize, and winner of the 2020 Evergreen Award.
Alicia loves eye-opening, surprising manuscripts with a unique point-of-view. She’s looking for books by authors who aren’t afraid of being emotionally vulnerable with their work, and believes that an author’s ability to honestly assess their own emotional and personal connection with whatever it is they’re writing about is the beating heart of a good book.
