Claire Lacey (they/them) is a Canadian writer currently living and working in Hull, England. They hold an MA in Creative Writing from the University of Calgary, and completed an undergraduate degree in English Literature at York University in Toronto, Canada. Their first book, Twin Tongues, won the 2013 Robert Kroetsch Award for Innovative Poetry. Their work has appeared in publications including The Windsor Review’s Best 35 Under 35 issue, Dandelion Magazine, Filling Station, and Dreamland. Claire was the Writer in Residence at Queen Elizabeth High School in 2010/2011.
Claire is currently working on their second book, which is about their recovery from a brain injury and subsequent (or is that consequent?) move across the Atlantic.
