Anne Le Dressay grew up in rural Manitoba. She studied in Winnipeg and Ottawa and taught English Literature and Creative Writing at private colleges in Alberta. She began writing in the 1960s and publishing in the 1970s. Her poetry has appeared in numerous journals and a few anthologies. She has published two chapbooks, This Body That I Live In (1979) and Woman Dreams (1998) and two books, Sleep is a Country (1997) and Old Winter (2007). She is retired and teaching memoir writing in Ottawa.
