CALL FOR SUBMISSIONS: Inside Prince Edward County!

We want your stories, Prince-Edward-County-ites!

Invisible Publishing is collecting personal essays about life in Prince Edward County, Ontario, Inside Prince Edward County, by people who live in or have ties to PEC.

We want to hear from the people who are from The County, who’ve seen it change, who’ve been part of the change, and from people who moved here because of and/or in spite of the change. Have you been on a horn trip or danced at Lakeshore Lodge? Know of a great local legend? Tell us about it!

This anthology is a chance to collect our thoughts about the place we live, the communities we’re building, and the reasons we call it home. You don’t have to live here to submit, but if PEC feels like home to you, we want your writing!

Please share this call for submissions with your network! It is important that this anthology reflect the true population of PEC. This collection can serve as a platform for voices and stories that are not often shared.

Submissions should be 500 words or less in length, and can be made online here or in person at the Books and Company front counter, 289 Main Street, Picton.

    Tanya,
Recently our memoire writing group heard that you are still looking for stories for your county anthology. I dug out a couple from my stash , polished and changed them a bit and will drop them in at the Book store. If they don’t fit what you need that’s ok. No doubt it’s a fun project. for you.
Yes , our gang is still alive . We changed the format and Marilyn is not with us now. We miss her and a few others but she was tired and has a lot of interests. We still see her sometimes. I can’t write a story for each gathering as we do more critique but I force myself to still write a bit, even after 13 years of it. We don’t seem to run out of subjects.
