Fall TO launch / Oct 20!

Join Ted Nolan and Gillian Wigmore at the legendary Grossman’s Tavern in Toronto as they launch two awesome new books, STILL POINT and GLORY!

The poems in E Martin Nolan’s STILL POINT contrast the calm and tumult of Hurricane Katrina, the deconstruction of Detroit, the financial crisis of 2008, and the BP Gulf oil spill, weaving lyrical sequences and individual pieces into a coherent whole focused on humanity’s relationship to itself and to nature.

Gillian Wigmore’s GLORY is a northern gothic novel that’s part punk rock, part old-time country ballad: In a boom town dominated by a man-eating lake, Renee and Danny Chance start a new life in his grandfather’s cabin. Renee struggles to keep her head above water until she is drawn into the orbit of two beautifully notorious bar-singer cousins.

Come for the fun, readings, cheap beers, and wicked live music by Frankie Foo and the Yo Yo Smugglers!

The readings start at 9, and the music goes all night. Get more info over on Facebook.
